Facilities at AECC


AECC has full wheelchair access. The main conference building has automatic entrance doors operated via a low-level push pad. All halls in the main building are at ground level, and the upper levels are all accessible by lifts.

Blue Badge holders should use the designated parking spaces nearest the venue, unless otherwise directed by a parking steward. All AECC car parks have designated blue badge spaces but if these are full badge holders may park in any available space. Blue Badges must be prominently displayed in the vehicle.

There are several elevators/lifts throughout AECC. These can be found at Concourse level (leading to floors 1-3), at Crombie/Boyd Orr (leading to the Gordon Room) and at Room 23. Wheelchair lifts are available also at the Fleming Auditorium.

The Main Reception Conference Entrance has a permanent induction loop system. Portable induction loops are also available for some other areas. AECC requires 48 hours' notice to install the portable hearing loop; please call +44 (0)1224 824824 to arrange this. 

Business Centre
In the Business Centre located in the Concourse delegates will have access to computers and the internet as well as photocopying, printing, scanning and faxing services.

Cash machines (ATMs)
There is one ATM located in the main Concourse next to the Café and two near the West Entrance to the Arena. There is a small charge for using these machines.

AECC operates a cloakroom inn the main Concourse. In addition an unattended Hydro14 cloakroom will be located within the Exhibition in the Boyd Orr Hall. Delegates leaving coats and outdoor clothing in these facilities do so at their own risk. There are facilities to store luggage.

First Aid
AECC has a First Aid Room situated in the main Concourse. If you require medical help during Hydro14, one of AECC's qualified First Aid team will be happy to help - you can find them either by asking at Main Reception or speaking to one of the Hydro14 team

Pay Phones
There are no pay phones on the AECC site.

Post boxes
There is one post box in front of AECC at the conference entrance and one just outside the Arena car park.

Public catering
The Café Concourse provides coffee, cakes, sandwiches, soup, soft drinks and confectionery from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Public toilets
There are toilets situated throughout AECC. Disabled facilities are available at all toilet areas.

Taxi phone
A courtesy telephone is available in the main Concourse. AECC has an agreement with Rainbow City Taxis, who will take your call and provide the service.

Hydro14 has arranged for delegates to have free Wi-Fi access throughout the Concourse, Boyd-Orr Hall and Fleming Auditorium.
