Social Programme

 

In keeping with the tradition of Hydro conferences, Hydro14 will offer exhibitors, delegates and their partners an unmissable programme of socail events in the evenings in addition to a golf tournament on the eve of the conference. 

Although some of these events are free to attends, entrance to all events will be by ticket only. Social events tickets should be booked when completing the relevant Exhibitor and/or Delegate Registration Form(s). A separate booking form for the Golf Tournament will be available to download shortly.


Monday 27th October - 1830 onwards

Ice-Breaker Party at AECC

This drinks and light canapés reception will welcome delegates and exhibitors on the eve of the Hydro14.

Free of charge; tickets must be pre-booked 

 

Tuesday 28th October  - 1815 onwards

Reception at Aberdeen Maritime Museum

This event will offer delegates the opportunity to explore the award-winning museum, on the historic Shiprow, which incorporates Provost Ross's House built in 1593. The museum houses a unique collection covering shipbuilding, fast sailing ships, fishing and port history. It is also the only museum in the UK featuring displays dedicated to the North Sea oil and gas industry. Drinks and canapés will be served.

Wednesday 29th October - 1900 for 2000

Conference Dinner

The flagship Conference Dinner  will take place in the magnificent and historic surroundings of Elphinstone Hall situated in Aberdeen University's King's College in Old Aberdeen.

Delegates and exhibitors will enjoy a pre-dinner drinks reception followed by top-class food, wine and entertainment. The evening will also feature the inaugural presentations of the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies' prestigious Student Award and the Prize for the Best Student Presentation at Hydro14.

Once the formal proceedings conclude they will have the opportunity to retire to the adjacent lounge where they can continue to socialise until the cash bar closes at midnight.

£80 (inc. VAT) per head; tickets must be pre-booked and are strictly limited

Monday 27th October

Hydro14 Golf Tournament

The Golf Tournament will take place on the 18-hole par 71 Championship Course at Murcar Links Golf Club, which is just 1 mile away from AECC. Further details - including the entrance fee, tee-off times and equipment hire rates - together with the booking form are available on the Golf Tournament page.
